About Me
I am a therapist, holistic healer, teacher and guide. I offer myself with compassion, warmth, a sense of humor and openness so that when clients and students meet me, they are delighted to find a real person present with them.
I trained at Simmons College as a clinical social worker, as well as a Kripalu yoga instructor, and completed advanced training in hypnotherapy, body-based therapy, EMDR, reiki energy healing, as well as other mind/body therapies. I honor and respect my clients' and students' journeys and their confidentiality. Having provided services to the community for more than twenty years, I am pleased that many clients and students have reported great satisfaction with the results of our time spent together.
Having been a yoga student for twenty-eight years, I live my yoga through my life, both professionally and personally. As a heart- and soul-centered yoga instructor, I aspire to the Kripalu tradition of "yoga on and off the mat." One's yoga practice and life inform and reflect each other, such that yoga can be far more than just physical relaxation, stretching and strengthening. With this in mind, I teach yoga with a personal growth bent, and integrate yoga and spirituality into psychotherapy treatment, if clients welcome this.
I have lived and worked in Jamaica Plain, MA for sixteen years, and love the urbane, yet small town feel, of this thriving community within Boston. I have a four-year-old son, Joshua , and a thirteen-year-old toy poodle mix, Dakota.
